Sabah Shark Survey

Draft Sabah Shark Survey Sites

Volunteer divers, dive masters and dive resorts have all contributed to the Sabah Shark survey.  This will run to the end of the year but the trends are now clear, shark populations have fallen dramatically over the past 16 years.  If you have dive data for Sabah please contribute, if you have dive data for the rest of the world please forward that to the Global Shark Survey.

JCI Conference

The JCI conference for 2011 is being held by JCI Tanjung Aru at the Sutera Pan Pacific Hotel.  Check out the website for more JCI info. The great news for Sharks in Malaysia is that the major project for JCI Tanjung aru during 2011 has been saving sharks.  They have done a great job and now is the time to spread that passion for sharks throughout Malaysia and the region.

Shark fin Videos

Save our sharks from a a bowl of soup has a large selection of videos about shark fin soup.  These are particularly distasteful but they help to get the message across that this is a disgusting business that needs to stop.
